YOGA VOLUNTEERS TRAINING COURSE (YVTC)

       (36 Hrs.)

  • Title of the programme:

The course shall be called as “CYP – YOGA VOLUNTEERS TRAINING COURSE”         

  • Aim and Objectives of the programme:

The main aim of the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) Volunteers Training Programme is to promote and disseminate Yoga among the general public on all India level for health promotion and well-beingness.

The objectives are:-

  • To introduce the knowledge and skill of Yoga amongst the masses.
  • To increase mass awareness about health benefits of Yoga.
  • To introduce basic well-being principles and practices of Common Yoga Protocol to common people.
  • To promote the positive health through Yoga.
  • To propagate Yoga for preventive practices as an approach to Holistic Health.
  • Eligibility for Admission:

            Open to all

  • Duration of the programme:

This is a part time programme of 36 hours duration.

  • Fees:
  1. Registration/ Participation Fee – 25/-
  2. Volunteer Certification Fee – 100/-  (Additional Fees Rs.100/ for Certification under YCB)
  • Intake Capacity:

            Maximum 50 candidates in a batch.

  • Medium of Instruction:

            Hindi and English.

  • Rules & Regulations:
  • Every student of the course should maintain the discipline during the course and not to disturb peace, tranquillity of any other participants, and teachers.
  • Candidate must attend Yoga practical held classes daily with empty stomach or light stomach or as advised by the Yoga Teachers / experts. Minimum 80% attendance is compulsory to declare that the candidate is successfully undergone the programme.

TERMS OF REFERENCE

Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga would like to conduct 36 hours Yoga Volunteer programme for the general public as part of the “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”. It is expected to train 1.5 lakh people by June, 2022.
The terms of Reference (ToR) for the Organisations which are conducting the above said Programme are as under:
1. The Training will be of one month duration (24 days – 36 hours) leading to Yoga
Volunteer Certification programme.

2. The Organisation shall ensure that minimum 50 people are there to get the training in a venue. There is no limit to number of people to be trained by any organisation.
3. The training will be either offline or hybrid mode or online, depending upon the
situation. If the programme is of through physical mode, the Organisation has to arrange the venue and other facilities for the practical training. The Organisations has to pay a Rs 25/. as enrolment fee and Rs. 100/- as Certification fee. This amount may be collected from the candidates OR the Organisation can bear at its own level Minimum 80% attendance is compulsory to declare that the candidate is successfully undergone the programme.
7. The Yoga Instructor will certify that the candidates have successfully completed the programme, The Instructor shall maintain the daily attendance of the candidates
The basic information about the candidate (address, phone number, email ID etc.)
undergoing the programme has to be collected by the Institute at the time of
admission to the programme.
9. The Certificate will carry the name & logo of the collaborating Organisation.
10. The MONIY will provide the participation certificate to the candidates who have successfully undergone the programme. However, this is subject to payment of
enrolment fee and other details.
11. To avail the Yoga Volunteer Certificate from the Yoga Certification Board (YCB), an additional amount of Rs. 100/- shall be paid per candidate.
12. The Organisation shall engage the empanelled CB certified Yoga Instructor/ Yoga
Teacher and approved by MDNy for conducting the programme and the remuneration of the Yoga Instructor ® Rs. 6,000/- per batch of 50 candidates or at pro-rata basis will be paid by MDNIY directly to the Instructor.
